My name is Roxana, and I am currently the President of ESN Iași. I have a diversified background in law, mediation, social work and interior design. I love to continuously invest in my education and I am an active person… maybe too active.
It is hard not to notice my addiction for the color yellow and Christmas lights. Among my passions, I will mention traveling (during the pandemic I reached the 20th country on my list, crazy isn’t it?), reading personal development books, mixing colors and patterns.
I discovered ESN during my last year of college where I was lucky enough to participate at Erasmus in Schools, an activity organized by the volunteers from that time. When I started my studies at the Faculty of Law, joining ESN was on my to do list and so I did, back in 2011 I was an ESN volunteer for one year. Then I came back in October 2016 thanks to the former president and my best friend Andreea who motivated me with her enthusiasm and passion for ESN.
Since then, ESN has kept me motivated to be a part of this big family. Meeting so many international students made me apply for Erasmus mobilities in France, Spain and Portugal. In the meantime, I’ve discovered more opportunities at all levels, local, national and international. Last year came with many challenges. It all started with the Social Erasmus coordinator position, then I was in the Organizing Committee for the Vama Veche trip, I was elected as local Vice President and National Social Inclusion Coordinator, I participated at two ESN international events in Brussels and London and many more. How could I ever stop volunteering for this amazing student association?
One of the special memories I have in ESN is an informal HR meeting in my tiny home, eating “sarmale” and discussing the volunteers' motivation.
